About Me
Welcome to my teaching portfolio!
My name is Emily Vailliencourt, and I have recently graduated from Michigan State University. This past year, I have completed their Teacher Preparation Program, and I am ready to become a full time teacher! I am certified to teach secondary history, as well as any subject falling under the category of social studies, as I have completed the Social Studies RX endorsement.
Through Michigan State's Teacher Preparation Program, I have completed a full year of Student Teaching under the mentorship of an experienced teacher of 22 years. This past year I have been given the opportunity to try different teaching strategies, gain classroom management skills, and become more confident in my overall teaching.
My time at Michigan State has allowed me to grow greatly as a person. Through the nation's #1 secondary education program and the several organizations that I have been a part of, they have encouraged me to become the best person I can be, while creating meanful relationships with others and influencing positive change.
All of my experiences make up who I am today: a young educator ready to create meaningful impacts on today's youth. I look forward to hearing from you!
