About Me
My name is Emily Vailliencourt, and I am a 6th and 7th grade social studies teacher in Southeast Michigan where I teach Geography and Ancient History. Currently, I am a graduate student at Michigan State University pursuing a Master of Arts in Educational Technology. This website will follow my progression of the program.
I grew up in Brighton, MI and attended Brighton Area Public Schools K-12. After graduating high school, I attended Michigan State University studying History Education, a teaching minor in French, and the RX Social Studies Endorsement.
While at MSU, I was a member of the Spartan Marching Band, Spartan Brass (the pep band), and Tau Beta Sigma, a service sorority focused on uplifting women in music. I graduated from MSU in the spring of 2021 and then began my student teaching.
After student teaching, I accepted a job teaching high school economics, current events, world history, and civics in Three Rivers, MI. I worked there about a year and a half before moving back to Southeast Michigan. I am now a middle school social studies teacher at the same school that I did my student teaching at!
